Client Problem
I am a Product Manager, and my goal is to build an app for my business. I've got it designed, so don't worry about that. But I have a strict deadline which must be met - otherwise the whole event will be a failure!
Attention: the app must use a special map API. Other vendors say it is going to take a lot more resources than I've estimated, and I think they're wrong. I'm a bit technical, and I think with a right team, we will make it on time and within budget.

Our Solution
We must make sure the unique map technology can be implemented.
The cycling competition, for which this app is built, will take place in the mountains, where the internet is unstable - we must make sure the app tracks time and position regardless of internet connection to make statistics fair.
We must be extra efficient with this app. It must be delivered earlier than scheduled to make sure it is well-tested before the main event.

How we made it work
1. Analysis
Our dev team broke down the tech stack. Turned out that the difficult map technology had to be implemented similarly to the app we had built before, so we could easily complete the project within client's budget & ahead of schedule.
The client was right to choose us - our navigation experience allowed us to quickly create project structure, and we began building the app.
2. Product Development
Using our pre-made navigation modules, we were able to quickly assemble the app.
We made sure it was working great without internet access, and that the QR Code scanning feature worked well even without the best lighting.
After everything was tested from our end, we handed the app to client and waited for change requests.
3. Launch & Support
Since we delivered way ahead of schedule, our client had enough time to thoroughly go through the app together with his team. A few small changes were requested, which we made, as always, free of charge.
After those minor changes, we submitted the app for App Store & Google Play review. We had to adapt to the unique app requirements - it had to be available only for close community. App Store suggested to create a private listing, while Google Play made it public for everyone.
After the back-and-forth with the stores, we reported the app live to our client. He still had tons of time to prepare for the main event, and, when the time came, the app performed great. Since its launch, the app was used in at least two events, which are held each year, and is on track to be used in many more in the future, based on our client's feedback.
